Beverly Biggin, 84, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with her family by her side.
Born on November 3, 1941, in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, Beverly was the daughter of the late William and Sophie Niemi. She dedicated her life to caring for others, spending her career as a compassionate Registered Nurse. Beverly was among the first staff members who helped open what is now known as Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital in Melbourne, Florida, in 1986—an accomplishment she held with great pride.
In 1962, she married the late John W. Biggin, Sr., and together they built a life in Melbourne, where they raised their family and created many cherished memories.
Beverly is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Franklin (Phillip) of Viera, Florida, and Lori Carollo (Christopher) of Palm Bay, Florida. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Natasha Shahbaz and Alexa Carollo, and her great grandchild, Astera, and a second great-grandchild on the way October 2026 courtesy of Alexa, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
After retiring from nursing, Beverly discovered her “happy place” in sewing and embroidery. She had a remarkable talent for creating beautiful pieces and delighted in sharing her gifts with family, friends, and anyone who appreciated her handiwork.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Florida Memorial Garden, located at 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955.
Beverly will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the caring spirit she carried throughout her life.
