William “Bill” Alfred Byer, Jr., 56, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 in Orlando, Florida. Born in Melbourne on February 16, 1969 to William Alfred and Judy Kay Loosebrooke Byer, Sr. he lived his entire life locally.

He was known for his kind heart, sense of humor and he loved to tell stories. Bill worked as an automotive painter and took great pride in it. Outside of work Bill enjoyed singing, listening to music and his love for cars.

Bill is survived by his children Cody Byer his wife Kim, Matt Zurich, Ryan Zurich and Steven Hawkins; his brother James “Art” Byer & Wife Emma, nieces Magalyna Byrd (Byer), Sarah Byer & Leticia Johnson (Byer) and his grandchildren Peyton & Nash Byer.

Bill will be deeply missed and remembered by his family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 East Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32901.
