Denis and I were 12 years old when we started paling around. This became a friendship that lasted a lifetime. He was the most genuine person that I have ever known. He was kind, generous, and remarkably accepting of all kinds. And I have a treasure of memories that will make me smile and laugh forever. I am truly indebted to him for his contributions to the simple wonderful things that mean so much to me in this life. He was special and he was loved.

Denis, for a short period of time we were inseparable: shooting pool, and playing backgammon, darts, and pinochle. We had many memories from your draft lottery #6 to both having daughters named Erin. From Washington DC to NYC we laughed and created stories as young men often do. I will always smile when I think of you, God bless.

With one daughter. five grandaughters, four female cousins with six daughters between them, lots of Aunts and Grand Aunts, it was a breath of fresh air to have one male cousin.
May you enjoy a fresh breeze at your back with following seas, Denis. You are, and will be missed.
With love, Cousin Johnny
