Douglas (Doug) Pelc was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 11, 1948. He left this world with his family by his side. Douglas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patti, his daughter, Danielle (Jeff) Borieo and son Matthew (Tamara) Pelc. He was predeceased by his son Peter. Douglas had 8 grandchildren, Alexa, Paige, Chloe, Noah, Luke, Kelsey, Logan, and Avery. He was also a proud great grandpa. He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Lorraine), Paul (Sharon), Linda (Dennis) Bajor, Carol, Elaine (Tim) Pelc-O’Leary, brother in law and sister in law, Leo and Christine Jekot. And predeceased by Kathy and David Michaelsen. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and many friends here in Florida, as well as in Michigan. He was proud to have been a Ford retiree, having worked for that company for 32 years.

A memorial service will be held on February 6th at 10:00am at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, 105 W Hibiscus Blvd, Melbourne, Fl. Luncheon immediately following at clubhouse at Lakes of Melbourne Community 4000 Hollywood Blvd Melbourne, FL.
A memorial service will be held in Michigan on February 22, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Edith Church, 15200 Levan Road, Livonia, MI 48154. A luncheon will follow.
