I've been to this page dozen of times in the last year, never certain of what to say about my Grandfather. I loved him so much growing up. He was a heroic figure to me, but there came a time when my faith in him waivered. I learned about the fragility of his humanity, and shamefully I turned away from him. We all do things we're not proud of, but I think my Grandfather learned from his mistakes and made the best of the end of his life. In that regard, I hope I can be just like my Grandfather and leave behind nothing but the love I nourished in others. My Grandfather wasn't perfect, but he was Awesome. Rest in Peace, Abuelo.
