Frances Regina Schreck Cannon (Pat) 86, longtime resident of Melbourne, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 9th 2018, one day after her and George’s 62nd wedding anniversary. They were married in St. Roses Church in New Haven, Connecticut and after assessing wedding gifts, they found they could travel as far as Cape Cod, Massachusetts. During her marriage and career, Pat managed to raise her family in Illinois, North Carolina, Connecticut, Puerto Rico and Florida. Pat was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 18th 1932, one day after St. Patrick’s Day, leading to her nick name “Patsy”. Daughter of Charles and Margaret Schreck.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Cannon; her children, Mary Bodger (Andy), George Cannon (Cheryl), Chris Cannon (Traci), Daria Castan (Rod), Patricia Chi¬aramonte and Tracey Kealy; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered for the grace and care enjoyed by her family and the joy they brought to her. Pat lived her life for her family and those around her. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Women’s Group, was on the board of Floridana Beach Club for many years and was a Girl Scout leader. She loved the beach, gardening, cooking, eating, dancing, shoe shopping and taking care of her family. Her love for flamingos has inspired a “Flamingo Pink” celebration of life services. Please wear any shade of pink.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3780 S. Hwy A1A, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951. Reception to follow the mass at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church hall.
