Joan V. Phillips, 85, was born in Queens, NY and died December 14, 2018 in Palm Bay, FL. Joan was retired from Collins Avionics in Melbourne. She was a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church in Melbourne Beach which is now Advent Lutheran Church. Joan was active in her church teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School for several years.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Everhart and Ruth Parham; grandchildren, Cierra Oxandaboure and Joshua Everhart; two great-grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her son Ralph Phillips.
An expression of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Health First or Advent Lutheran Church in Melbourne Beach.
A Memorial Service was held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Advent Lutheran Church in Melbourne Beach. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home is assisting the family.
