Nancy Louise Rebar

Born September 25, 1955 in Chaleroi, Pennsylvania
Departed December 8, 2023 in Melbourne, Florida

Nancy Louise Rebar was born on September 25, 1955, in Chaleroi, Pennsylvania, to Warren E Martin and Alma Fowler. On January 27, 1973 she married Frank P Rebar, the love of her life, in St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. They soon had three children – twins Amber and Ivy, and son Michael.

Shortly afterward, Frank joined the US Air Force and they moved their family all around the world including New York, Texas, Okinawa, Hawaii, Korea, Japan, and California. Nancy was a wonderful woman who made a comfortable home for her family regardless where they lived or their circumstances. Her children proudly remember a time where they had no kitchen, while living in Korea, and she made an entire Thanksgiving meal in an electric skillet and coffee pot. Nancy was a strong, protective, and ingenuitive mama bear who would do anything for her cubs. She was truly exceptional.

As they moved, Nancy and Frank made sure the family had many adventures. They visited monuments, camped on the Beaches of Guam, and went to many, MANY amusement parks. Nancy especially loved the sun, beach and amusement parks, which led her and Frank to finally settle in Florida when he retired from the Air Force in 1994. In her most recent years, she enjoyed traveling to have adventures and make memories with her six grandchildren. With her partner in crime, Frank, she enjoyed going to restaurants, the movies, and on casino cruises.

Nancy is preceded in death by her mother Alma Mucy; father Warren E. Martin; sister Barbara Ann Simala and beloved brother Richard Glasser. She is survived by her sisters Gloria Bindus, Sandra Horton, and brother Jay Glasser. She is also survived by her three children Amber (Brady) Housel, Ivy (Doug) Hoyle, and Michael Rebar as well as her six grandchildren Devon, Megan, Joshua, Jolie, Aaron, and Kendal.

Her final moments were spent surrounded by her loving husband and children, as well as granddaughter Kendal. Her beautiful smile and kindness to those around her will be missed. There will be a memorial service for her at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on December 21, 2023 at 11:30 am.
