Jenny Mauch, 99, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 29, 2023 at West Melbourne Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Herbert C. Mauch, who passed away in 1999 and her son Timothy who passed away earlier this year. She was also the last of her sisters, Lee, Dell, Marty, Rita and Lucy who have been awaiting her arrival in heaven.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Brenda), Dick (Sonya), Janice (Bob) and Jerry (Julie), as well as 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She worked for the School Board of Miami-Dade County from 1966 until her retirement in 1992, holding many positions in Payroll, Budget and Attendance Departments. She received many Thank Yous from the attendance clerks she trained throughout the state for her knowledge of proper attendance accountability.

Jenny was very active in her churches both here and in Miami and Dayton, Ohio, She held many positions in the Council of Catholic Women (CCW), including President and Treasurer of her church’s CCW and President and Treasurer of Miami Archdiocese CCW (MACCW). She was a Third Order member of the St. Catherine of Siena Chapter of the Dominican Laity in Miami and the Holy Name of Jesus Laity here in Palm Bay She was a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD to Pre-K students at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She participated in Adopt Catholic Education, taking 1st grade children to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament leading them in the rosary.

She was active in the Knights of Columbus Marian Council in North Miami as president and was counselor to the Knight of Columbus Squirettes (for teen girls). She also was president of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Auxiliary when Herb was active in the NALC.

She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, an AARP tax preparer and a respite volunteer.

She also managed to sew most of her own clothes and that of her daughter, and she was her daughter’s Brownie Leader. She was a distributor of the Miami News, which was the afternoon newspaper that her sons delivered in the neighborhood.

She was the best mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and grandma GG that we could have. Her card playing and Monopoly skills were legendary and she even learned to play Bridge after dad passed away.

A viewing will be held at noon on May 20th, followed by mass at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne. Following the mass, Jenny and Tim will be put to rest together at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 1422 Miller Street, Palm Bay. A casual gathering will be held after the burial at Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepherd at 810 W. Florida Avenue, Melbourne.

Jenny requests that in lieu of flowers donations be may to either Our Lady of Lourdes or St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches.
