Jim Bixby, 64, of West Melbourne passed on March 2, 2023 at home. He was born on May 24, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey to LeRoy Frank and Joan Virginia Glaser Bixby.
His family includes his children, David, Kate, and Amanda Bixby and grandchildren; his father, Roy Bixby; brother Tom Bixby and sister Connie Schneckenberg.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joan.
Jim was a friend to all who knew him.
Family and friends may call from 4 until 6 pm, with a service at 5 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida.

It was sad news to hear of Jim's untimely death. He was a good friend in many ways. He made the golf clubs for me many years back that I still use and serve me well. Jim and Jennifer were/are exceptional people. I enjoyed working with him and also playing a lot of golf with him. R.I.P, my friend. Thanks for the good times we had.
Jim was one of my best friends and favorite work buddy. I will miss him dearly.

I was sorry to hear about Jim's passing. We were in JrHigh together and in Babe Ruth Baseball together. His mom and my Dad worked together at Harris Corp together . He was a great athlete.
I loved working with Jim. The absolute best partner you could have. Always had your six. I will miss my friend and teammate. My thoughts and prayers are with Amanda and family. He was a gift to all of us.

I was deeply saddened to learn that our peer was no longer with us as he was always a gentle soul with a desire to encourage through sending fun quips to make us smile. Jim loved his family and friends very much. He is missed. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Jim leaves us with his perfect example of what a caring and loving person can be. To Jim, a friend in need was a friend indeed. Thank you Jim for being there as a shining star that brightened our days. God bless you and your family always.
Bixby would give the shirt off his back (or the food off his plate or the the golf club from his bag) for those he loved... or just kinda liked :). His humor was one of a kind and his friendship will be woefully missed. I hope you've found endless perfect Rueben's Bix.
