Arthur Roberts

Passed on October 10, 2025 in Rockledge, Florida

Arthur Roberts was born on May 3, 1934 in Great Britain to Violet May (Lewis) and Arthur “Chick” Roberts. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 91, on October 10, 2025.

He was curious and inquisitive to the very end, he lived his life to the fullest, and he pursued all of his hopes, dreams and hobbies to the maximum. He was a dedicated husband, father, master designer/draftsman, photographer, sailor, artist, handyman and published author. He derived great joy and satisfaction out of studying and modeling airplanes, cars, and boats of all kinds.

Arthur married Veronica June Heaps in December of 1957 and remained faithfully by her side until her death in November of 2018.

He is survived by his sister Beverley (Howard); his four children, Arthur (Sarah), Susan (Daniel), David (Brenda), and Andrew; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arthur is predeceased by his father, his mother, and his younger brother, Ron.

Arthur will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his sharp wit, entertaining stories, and larger-than-life personality.

No specific plans for a Celebration of Life service have yet been established.

Moyra Bunger from Manlius, NY wrote on October 24, 2025:
Art, you were deeply loved by your Auntie Connie your whole life, she could not have been prouder of you and Ron, and the lives you made for yourselves. It is a comfort to think of you where ever you are, having a cuppa (or maybe a coke!) with your Auntie Con.
Debbie Roberts from Caledon East wrote on October 23, 2025:
A Uncle Arthur, You always had a story to entertain. You always made me laugh. You had strong convictions on many a topic. I enjoyed your company and the conversations you instigated. You always received me with a welcome, then proudly showed me what you had either built or what you were working on. When I was a young inquisitive child you were always willing to answer my questions, maybe with bended truth, but with a response nonetheless, which I remember with a fondness. Thank you for all you gave to me and mine. My sad regrets to Uncle Arthur's immediate family. Warm hugs to you all.

Art was a part of SeaQuills writing group in Palm Coast, FL. I got to know him and June through our social engagements. There was no one like him. He was universally loved by our group. He was an inventive writer and a good friend. I miss him.

Fond memories of Art's adventures told through his poetry at the Sea Quills writers meetings. What a joy to know this talented man.
