Jason James Reemsnyder

Born on May 30, 1975 in Washington, DC
Passed on January 4, 2026 in Melbourne Beach, Florida

Jason James Reemsnyder (Age 50) passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. He was born May 30, 1975 in Washington, DC to Alice Hilten and James Reemsnyder. He was a graduate of Col. Zadok Magruder High School, Rockville, Maryland. He grew up in a great neighborhood in Derwood, Maryland making life time best friends.

After high school he moved to Dewey Beach, Delaware to continue working for his Father at Col. Mustards, a popular beach deli that Jason worked at every summer since he was 12 years old. He later moved with his father to Jacksonville, Florida to continue working in their deli. Jason moved to Melbourne Beach.

Florida, the hometown of his beloved grandparents, Joe & Frances Hilten. His Son Maki was born there in 2002. For the past 18 years his life focus was raising Maki to love surfing, fishing and nature. Maki is a beautiful reflection of Jason in every way. Jason will be so proud when Maki graduates high school in a few months.

The beach was his paradise – growing a passion for surfing and making many lifetime best friends wherever he lived. Surfing was his church, believing he was one with God’s ocean. He developed a pure love for all nature, especially the ocean’s coral reefs. Jason’s smile was as bright as the sun and lit up the room and all in it. He was loved for his smile, friendliness, helpfulness and humor. He is now at peace in the heavenly oceans of joy.

Jason is survived by his parents and son, Maki Reemsnyder, step father Joe Pavlock and many cousins, step aunts & uncles and step brothers and sisters: Taylor, Brooke, Jordan, Jimbo and Paige Reemsnyder.

A private service will be held.
