They were a part of the Arizona Emmaus Community and St. Matthews United Methodist church of Mesa. While in Arizona they enjoyed volunteering, discovering the beauty of the Southwest and most of all spending time with family. Myra’s parents Myron and Bernice, son William (Bill) and his family loved to be entertained by her brother Jim Ashby with festive gatherings. In 2015, Myra moved to Melbourne, Florida and enjoyed being close to her Florida family and friends. She was an avid reader and a friend of the Suntree Library.
