Although I only got to know Pat in the latter years of his life, I felt like I knew him for decades. His ability to draw you in with the stories of his life made a person feel like you had known him forever. He lived a full life for sure. One filled with adventure. He loved his family and imparted such great wisdom to them and everyone who knew him. He will truly be missed. I am lucky that I had those years with him and will always be grateful for that. Rest in peace.

My grandpa was the most remarkable man I have ever known. His love and kindness touched everyone he met, and he had a way of making each person feel seen, valued, and welcome. He was always there for me, the one I could rely on, and he helped me see the best in myself.
He taught me lessons I will carry forever—love, patience, understanding, and compassion for all living things. I loved listening to his stories, and his laughter and wisdom filled our home with joy. He cherished his family above all else and opened his heart and home to friends, strangers, and every animal that crossed his path.
He was more than a grandfather; he was the father I always needed, someone who stepped up and did what was right without hesitation. I will miss him every day, but his voice, his lessons, and the love he gave me will guide me for the rest of my life.
