A proud veteran of the United States Army, Ray served his country with honor during Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart for his bravery and protection of his fellow soldiers. Known for his kindness, honesty, and encouragement of leadership in others, he led by quiet example. Starting at a young age, Ray found solitude and happiness in fishing and teaching others this favorite pastime of his.
A faithful Roman Catholic, Ray now rests in the hope of the Resurrection and the promise of eternal life.
He is survived by his wife, Patty and son, Shaun, daughter-in-law, Lori, granddaughter, Isabella and grandson, Alexander.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1710 S. Hickory Street, Melbourne, Florida.
