Born September 17, 1963 in Jackson, Michigan
Departed January 7, 2024 in Orlando, Florida
Scott was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and uncle. He lived most of his life in Scottsdale, Arizona and raised a blended family of four children. The family moved to the east coast of Florida, because he always said, “I am a beach bum stuck in the middle of the desert.”
He loved fishing and traveling in the RV. He spent his last Christmas with his family which he so much enjoyed. He said he just missed his step daughter who lives in Arizona.
Scott left us way too soon and will be deeply missed by all of us.

**In Memory of Grandpa Johnson**
Grandpa,
I miss you every day.
I still think about the Christmas we spent together, going fishing, joking around, playing with each other, and watching movies together. I remember texting and calling you, and those hilarious booger- and fart-themed birthday and Christmas cards you would give to us. I remember how you always called me “Monkey” and “Pumpkin” every time I saw you or talked to you. Those little names meant more to me than I probably ever told you.
What I miss the most is your voice.
I hear your voice in my memories whenever I’m fly tying. I think of you whenever Monty Python comes up. Every time I accomplish something, no matter how big or small, I think about you and wonder what you would say. I know you would be proud of me.
I wish you could see everything I’m doing now. I wish I could call you and tell you about the flies I’ve tied, the things I’ve accomplished, the things I’m learning, and all the crazy things happening in my life. I wish I could hear you joke with me again and call me “Monkey” or “Pumpkin.”
There are so many things I wish I could tell you.
But I hope you know that I haven’t forgotten you. I carry your memory with me in everything I do. When I’m fishing, fly tying, laughing at Monty Python, or accomplishing something I’m proud of, I think of you.
I miss you, Grandpa.
I know you’re proud of me.
I love you, and I’ll always be your Monkey.
