Shaun M. Warburton

Born on February 26, 1979 in Melbourne, Florida
Passed on August 25, 2025 in Melbourne, Florida

Shaun was born on February 26, 1979 in Melbourne, Florida to James Patrick and Geralyn Maria Salzillo Warburton.

He was a man of few words; however when he spoke, he was the voice of reason. A kind hearted, generous, and loyal person, he was an extremely private person. He loved his family and valued his many friendships. Shaun would do anything for anyone and would stop everything to help anyone who needed it.

Shaun loved the challenge! He could fix just about anything and he never met a computer he couldn’t get running again. He also loved his radios, didn’t matter if it was a scanner or Ham. Always with a radio. he was always listening!

He also loved taking pictures whether it was with his camera or his phone. He never let his vision stop him from doing what needed to be done, He bravely went about his life without complaint. When he was 19 he fought cancer with that same strength.

Shaun took pride in his jobs; in addition to his primary job at Florida Tech, he worked parttime for 24 years with the Indialantic Police Department. He valued his coworkers and always gave his best.

Shaun will truly be missed by his parents Jim and Gerry; brother and sister-in-law Kristopher and Cindy; nephew Benjamin; uncle and aunt John and Marylyn Amoroso; aunt Linda Salzillo; cousins, Yo P, Michael and Katie. The Crimi and Fronzo families and his puppy Kali were special to him.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32901. His memorial service will follow at 1:00pm.

R.I.P. Shaun. You were such a true friend, with unwavering integrity and generosity. A huge heart and a gentle soul. You were always giving, never taking. You gave to so many who are so saddened by your passing. We love you Shaun.

Shaun was a gentle and caring person. He loved his family, enjoying walks through the neighborhood with Gerry and Jim, his beautiful dog, Kali, and neighbors who could join in. He was such a big part of his parent's lives, devoted to them and appreciative of them. I know he will continue to look down on them from Heaven, watch over and protect them. As a neighbor, I could see how loving and close his family was, their strong work ethic, and like his parents, his contribution to our community. Shaun will be deeply missed.🕊

Each visit we made to Florida, we had the pleasure of spending time with Shaun. The meals we shared at some of his favorite restaurants were ones I will never forget. Whether Shaun was sharing stories about his employment , his love for computers, or listening to the tireless tales of my teaching career, it all ended the same- with his infectious smile. All that he embodied would shine through in his beautiful smile and kind heart. I can honestly say I will truly miss our times together. The world has lost one of the good ones.

Each visit we made to Florida, we had the pleasure of spending time with Shaun. Over many meals at his favorite restaurants, he shared interesting stories about his employment and his love for computers. In return, he eagerly listened to the tiresome tales of the life of a teach. Whether he was speaking or listening, the end result was his beautiful smile. That is how I will remember him- his infectious smile and kind heart. The world has lost a truly special man.

Fun remembrances. Three of us, my grand nephew Shaun, my nephew Richard and I were talking & walking together in the Indialantic Walmart as we purchased some cartridges. Right after that, we headed to the local indoor range. It was a very special time for me to be shooting with my two nephews. Cool & steady Shaun was the better marksman (he must have practiced beforehand with his buddies on the Indialantic PD)! They both are no longer here to go to the range with me (we were the "three musketeers" that day); I will always remember that special time. I also am grateful I got to spend some quality time with Shaun a couple of years ago when he, Geralyn, and Patti came down to Alabama for a visit. We had a great time. I will miss Shaun very much, and I look forward to meeting him again, when it's my time to depart this earth.

Shaun is the best of the best which is why this hurts so much. Our family will never be the same. We will miss his quiet strength, his level-headedness , his technological brilliance, but mostly his love and laughter. Keeping you alive in our hearts and on our minds.💙💔🙏💫

I lost a dear friend, a brilliant IT professional, and an irreplaceable colleague. Shaun Warburton, just 46 years old, passed away Shaun faced the progressive loss of his eyesight with a kind of courage and determination that was nothing short of extraordinary. What he lacked in vision, he more than made up for with relentless drive, sharp intellect, and unwavering dedication. He accomplished things many would have thought impossible—and he did it with grace. God is receiving a remarkable soul. I will miss Shaun deeply—his friendship, his talent, and his quiet strength.
