Bobbie Diane Elkington

Surrounded by her loved ones, Bobbie, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2023. She was 80 years old. Bobbie was a proud mother of two children Ginger Snead & John Elkington.

She had a loving personality and was known to be a great listener. Throughout her life, she loved to entertain family and friends, travel, and play Keno. She had a few careers over the years but was best known as a Tampa Bay area real estate appraiser with her late husband, Don Elkington. In her later years, she could be found sitting on the porch with a cat or two that she “didn’t ever want”, a smoke, and a cup of lukewarm coffee; eager to hear about your day and what’s going on with the grandkids and great-grandkids. She had a sweet tooth and a fondness for anything chocolate. She had a vocabulary of southern sayings, and her infectious laugh will be missed!

Bobbie is survived by her sister Nadine Samme; daughter Ginger Snead; son John Elkington; granddaughters Nikki Pessagno & Amanda Elkington; grandsons Tony Snead & Aidan Elkington; grandson-in-law Ryan Pessagno; sister-in- law and brother-in-law Kathy and Freddie Garcia and four great-grandchildren Colin Pessagno, Grace Pessagno, Emma Pessagno and Olivia Snead.
