Kevin Wayne Smith passed away on September 2, 2026 surrounded by the love and thoughts of his family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Gary James Smith, and was welcomed into heaven by his father, his grandparents, and the aunts, uncles, and cousins who went before him.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Smith, brother, Mark Smith (Diane), sister, Sherry Rua (Fernando), and sister, Trish Clow (Brad) as well as nephews Chris & Matt Clow, Aaron White, and niece, Tracey O’Shea. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him and remembered always by his large, extended family.
Kevin was a lover of all things botanical. He had a natural appreciation for plants, landscaping, and the outdoors and spent many years turning that interest into his livelihood as the owner of a lawn & landscaping service. Whether working with plants, caring for a landscape, or simply appreciating something growing and green, it was a part of who Kevin was.
Kevin lived life on his own terms. Those who knew him will remember his individuality, his love of plants and the outdoors, his willingness to lend a hand to a friend in need, and the many stories, laughter, memories gathered over the years.
May he now be at peace, healthy, and whole as he is reunited with his father and the family who were waiting to welcome him home.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
