Suzanne Ray Barraza
Suzanne Ray Barraza, 64, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away from a long illness on Saturday, August 22, 2026. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, to Donald and Shirley Gullion. Suanne attended grade school and high school in Iowa, where she was an avid swimmer and runner. She moved to Melbourne with her mother and brother in 1979.
Suzanne married and had three beautiful children. During her marriage she worked as a waitress and in manufacturing. After her divorce, she worked hard to support her family.
Suzanne met her husband, Ziggy, of 34 years while working at Woody’s in West Melbourne and they build their lives together raising her children. She continued to work and better her education, earning an AA degree in computer systems information in 2006 at BCC. She loved helping anybody in need and started working at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in 2003 while holding onto a part-time job at J.C. Penney’s. Suzanne fought rheumatoid arthritis for years and suffered in pain while working her two jobs. She worked at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home for 23 years. She loved helping families through their toughest times.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Ezequiel “Ziggy”” Ramirez Barraza; daughter, Toni Ann Marie Faella; sons, Mark Anthony and Christoper Rae Faella; grandchildren, Natylie Marie Kautz, Chase Anthony Haught and Kaidence Marie Faella, mother, Shirley Ann Wulf Gullion Cox, Sister, Lori Gullion and brother, James Gullion. She was preceded in death by her father in 2024, Donald Ray Gullion.
