Rose Benevente

Born July 19, 1929 in Copiague, New York.
Passed away September 3, 2026 in Titusville, Florida

Rose Benevente, 97, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved her dearly.

Rose will be remembered for her strength, her independent spirit, and her ability to say exactly what she thought. She touched the lives of many through the years and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Rose is survived by her sons, Charles Benevente and his wife, Laura; Michael Benevente of New York; and Paul Benevente and his wife, Anna, of Virginia. She also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Rachel and her husband, Paige; Mark and his wife, Franca; Vincent; Jessica; Michael; Isabella; and Luca. Her legacy continues through her two adorable great-grandchildren, Samantha and Arabella, as well as her youngest sister, Barbara Cali of New York.

Rose was married to Vincent “Vinny” Benevente for 66 years. Together, they were longtime residents of the City of Indialantic, where they built a life filled with family, community, and cherished memories.

Rose was especially instrumental in helping to have Sunset Park named in honor of her beloved husband, Vincent, who served as Vice Mayor at one point during his long and distinguished life. Her dedication to her husband and her community was a reflection of the love and loyalty that defined so much of her life.

A Memorial service will be at 11am on Tuesday September 22nd in the Brownlie – Maxwell Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at The Cape Canaveral National Cemetery beside her husband “Vince”.

Rose’s family takes comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with Vinny, where they can rest together in eternal peace.
