We just found out about Dr. MOTIE’S passing. We were shocked and saddened to hear of it! He was our vet for over 30 years and was the best, kindest, thorough and ABSOLUTE BEST vet anyone could ever hope for. He saw us through the care and passing of many of our cats and birds. Covid kept us away for over 2 years so we did not know. So sad but so grateful for the years of his care! Condolences to his family. Grief is indeed the price of love. All the postings are evidence he was much loved!

We are shocked and devastated to hear about Dr. Motie's passing. He's been our vet since our beloved hound was born in 2016. He's done so much for us and our dog and his calm compassionate demeanor meant so much to all three of us. He once left in the middle of another appointment to give our dog a shot after he accidentally ingested ibuprofen at 4mo. old, which truly saved his life. He told my panicked husband at the time to not even think about payment right now, "we're saving the dog first." He only charged us half cost a week later. Our dog has ear issues, and Dr. Motie was always there to help. At our visit last year, he told us that we'll keep trying until we find what works, because "you never give up on your dog." I'll also always remember him playfully laughing at us when he asked for a poop sample and we brought him an entire ziplock bag full. He said he only needs "this" much, holding his fingers up. We still laugh about that today. Dr. Motie was truly the best, and the bar has been set so high for us as we search for another vet. He made such a difference to so many.

The sudden and unexpected death of Dr. Motie is a profound loss for his family, friends, colleagues, and his loyal staff that worked with him by his side. He put his heart and soul into his practice to help, protect, heal and comfort the most vulnerable, the Animal Kingdom. His expertise and caring helped save our dear Indian Ringneck Bird, Boo Girl. We are all so saddened how a vibrant and talented man can be taken from us so quickly and everyone he touched and every animal that passed thru his hands is eternally grateful and his memory will live in all our hearts forever. Amen!
