Earl Raymond Hatch was born on November 18, 1935 in Baileyville, Maine. He passed on to be with our Lord on May 5, 2024. He was born to mother Hester Ashby (Hatch) and father Ruel Manza Hatch. He was the youngest of brothers Earnest and Henry; sisters Margaret and Marion.

He is survived by his sister Marion Grabher; son Fernando Hatch and daughter Patrizia Butterhof; grandson Clemens; granddaughters Sylvia Hatch and Tanja Butterhof; great grandkids Fina Rucker and Jovin Hatch as well as several nephews and nieces.

Earl joined the United Stated Marine Corps Reserve on February 10, 1952 at age 17, serving one tour in Korea. He received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

In April of 1960 he reenlisted in the Army, serving three tours in Vietnam. For his service in the Army, he received The National Defense Medal w/Oak Leaf Clusters, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), 6 Overseas Service Bars, Mechanic Badge and Expert Badge (M-14).

Earl finished his military career as Staff Sergeant and a proud American patriot in May of 1973 while stationed in Germany. There he met and fell in love with a beautiful and energetic German girl, Irene Edbauer. They were married on September 29, 1967 and soon moved to Florida. Earl then completed a 20-year career working for the local TV cable company.

Irene passed away on September 30, 2008 and was laid to rest at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge Florida. Earl was laid to rest next to Irene his “Beloved Angel”.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on August 21, 2024 at 10 am at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida.
