Marguerite Bond Grant Cox, 88, of Melbourne, FL, died in Palm Bay, FL, on July 21, 2026.
Marguerite was born in Biloxi, MS, in 1937, to Leslie Balter Grant and Vera Leola Grant. She met and married Ernest Lee Cox, prior to moving to Melbourne, FL, in 1957. Marguerite attended First Methodist Church of Melbourne, where she was active teaching Sunday lessons and Bible studies.
Marguerite was proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ernest Lee Cox and her sister, “Libby” Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Margy Van Bever and Lee Humm; son-in-law’s, Mark Van Bever and Bob Humm; grandchildren, Stephen Van Bever (Kristin), Christopher Humm, and Merissa Bennett (Gavin); great-grandchildren, Cooper and Lucy Van Bever, Wyatt and Wade Bennett; and a sister, Linda Grant Wells.
A graveside service will be held August 1, 2026, at Florida Memorial Gardens, 3:00 p.m. Donations can be made to Promise in Brevard.
