She was born in Schweinfurt, Germany and moved to the United States in 1955 after
she met and married the love of her life – Thomas L. Taylor, who predeceased her in 2001.

Erna greatly loved her family and is survived by her sons, William T. Taylor (Susan), Bruce L. Taylor, and daughter, Frances M. Taylor, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne Goolsby; her mother and father – Maria Vogel Pfister and Friedrich Pfister and her Uncle Paul Vogel.

As an only child herself, Erna always wanted a big family, and she was thrilled to have had four children. Erna enjoyed shopping, sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing upholstery. She was quite talented at all. She was a member of the Patrick Air Force Base Yacht Club, where she enjoyed playing bingo with her many friends. Additionally, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. When her husband Thomas was the commander of the Florida State Association of the legion of honor for the Azan Shriners, they both enjoyed traveling around the country to attend various conferences. Erna was also active in the Legion of Honor – Legionettes for the Space Coast.

A private service will be held for the immediate family at her request.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Shriners Children’s Hospital in Tampa.

The family would like to especially thank the compassionate and caring people from Zon Beachside and Vitas Hospice group (Marilyn – “the queen”, Peggy, Dolores, Nicole, Getti, Venise and Mary) for their love and attention of Erna.
