Franklin Ray Right, 100, of Melbourne, passed away at home on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born in Elkins, West Virginia and came to Brevard County in 1959 from Colonial Heights, Virginia.

Frank was a US Navy veteran of World War II and retired as an Assistant Postmaster for the Indialantic Post Office. He was a member at First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #143 F & AM Melbourne, Bahia Shrine Temple Orlando, Scottish Rite Orlando, BPOE lodge in Melbourne. He had the honor of being the oldest member of the American Legion Frank B. Huddleston Post 81. Frank joined the American Legion after attending his first meeting in Elkins, West Virginia with his father while he was home on leave from the US Navy following boot camp during World War II.

Frank was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years, Hazel P. Right and his six sisters.

He is survived by his brother, Craig M. Right of Mebane, North Carolina.

Just found out my Uncle Ray died. He was the best when he got to come to West Virginia and Visit. We sent him cards every year, he will be Greatly Missed!
