Marie J Siciliano
Marie J. Siciliano (Mary), 92, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in New York, New York in 1933, Mary devoted her life to faith, family, and service. A proud mother of eight — including two sets of twins — she raised her children with unwavering love, strength, and patience. Her children, Anthony, Joseph, Rosemarie, Peter, Josephine, Camella, Arlene, and Lynn, were the center of her world, and she took great joy in watching her family grow over the years.
After 22 years of marriage Mary courageously rebuilt her life. She attended college at Pace University in New York City for the first time at 50 years old and embarked on a fulfilling career with the Department of the Interior culminating in her retirement from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in St. Petersburg, FL in 2006. She was very proud of her excellent health and her ability to live independently throughout her life.
Mary was a woman of deep Catholic faith, a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she served faithfully for many years. Her commitment to her faith and church community was a cornerstone of her life.
Mary is survived by her eight children, 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way. Her legacy lives on in each of them — in their laughter, their values, and their love for one another.
Mary will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family, her calm strength, her gentle spirit, and her deep trust in God. Her faith-filled life was a quiet but powerful witness to the virtues of humility, compassion, and love.
