It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mark F. Lowe, beloved husband and dedicated public servant. Mark passed away suddenly on April 1, 2026, in Melbourne, FL at the age of 66 years old. He was born December 23, 1959, in Ft. Sill, OK to his late parents, Thomas A. Lowe and Kathleen B. Lowe.

Stalwart in the community, Mark dedicated over 30 years to a law enforcement career, culminating in his retirement as Police Chief at the Republic (Missouri) Police Department in January 2015. While retired, Mark enjoyed spending time in his N.C. home, collecting, and tasting bourbons, shooting, and spending time with family and friends.

However, Mark needed more in his retirement, so he chose to become an instructor at Eastern Florida State College. For the last 10 years, he shared his knowledge, wisdom, and numerous experiences to instruct the future generation of law enforcement officers. With a patient heart and a sharp wit, Mark turned even the toughest subjects into memorable experiences.

Larger than life, always jovial, ready with a story to tell and a passion for teaching and the law. Never met a stranger. The world will miss this great soul. Forever in our hearts.
