Master Sergeant Marcus Anthony Collier
Master Sergeant Marcus Anthony Collier, 36, was born December 27, 1988 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away June 10, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Marcus was raised in Melbourne, Florida where he attended Eau Gallie High School. During high school, he worked as a high-rise construction worker under his father who worker as a supervisor. He enlisted into the United States Army on March 15, 2007. He was a Special Forces Operations Sergeant assigned to Company D, 4th Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Carson, Colorado.
After enlisting as an infantryman, he served one combat tour to Afghanistan. In 2011, MSG Collier graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was then assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida where he served as a Special Forces Senior Weapons Sergeant. While assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), MSG Collier deployed and served two combat tours to Afghanistan, two operational tours to Guatemala, and one combat tour to Kuwait. He later served as a Maritime NCO. He then arrived at 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in October 2022, where he served one operational tour to Latvia.
Marcus is survived by his sons, Marcus Preston Collier and Atticus Zane Collier.
Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. His service will be at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens with full United States Army honors.
