Peter P. Di Ciano, 89, of Indialantic, Florida and previously of Southern, New Jersey, passed away on June 2, 2024. He was born to Peter and Mary (Mascio) Di Ciano on August 20, 1934 in Camden, New Jersey.

He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Devlin) Di Ciano and the late Anne Marie (Garofano) Di Ciano; loving father of Joanne and Tom Procopio, Peter and Charlotte Di Ciano and Maryanne and Nick Schauman; cherished grandfather (pop pop, beeps) of Alyson and Tommy Procopio, Candice Collins, Shannon and Peter Di Ciano Jr., Adam and Tyler Schauman and great grandfather of Tyler Jr., Keiran and Ella. He was predeceased by dearest granddaughter Nicole Schauman.

Pete attended Camden Catholic High School and was a well-known trumpet player in his youth. He was U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War. Pete was invited to join the Navy Band but declined because he wanted to travel. He was a long-time employee of N.J. Bell Telephone. After “retirement” from Bell, he became a school bus driver for Mt. Laurel Township.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

Peter will be remembered by all for his dry sense of humor, generosity, love of travel and dancing. He was a very good bowler and enjoyed playing golf. He was a big fan of the Eagles and had season tickets for years.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at Holy Saviour Church, Westmont, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 starting at 11:00 am. His family will receive mourners at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, New Jersey immediately thereafter.
