From the time I was born until I became an adult, she played a significant role in the development of what I believed a good mother, grandmother, and person in general was. Even from across the country, she always made me feel like I was important to her and put effort into making sure my brothers and I knew we were loved. No matter the time and no matter the distance, she always held a huge place in my heart. I know my mom and Grandpa were waiting with arms wide open when they met her in Heaven.

In 2010, Lisa and I were riding my motorcycle across SD, heading to Florida to pick up Lisa's new to her Gold Wing. About 11pm we got to Mitchell SD and decided we should look for a place to stay for the night. Lisa suggested I call Sandy, who was living in Yankton at the time. I called and asked her how late she was going to be up. She laughed and asked me what time are you getting her, i said about an hour. We rolled into her drive just after midnight.. spent a couple hours visiting. Got up the next morning and took her to breakfast, before heading out. Fond memories. On our return trip, we stopped by for dinner and Sandy took us for a boat ride on the Missouri River.
