Born on December 16, 1978, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia
Passed on April 30, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida.
Tony Wells, “LT” born December 16, 1978, left this world far too soon, but anyone who knew Tony knows he probably arrived at Heaven’s gates with a fishing pole in one hand a rifle in the other, and a story ready to tell before Saint Peter could even ask his name.
Tony was a proud husband to the love of his life, Brandi, and a devoted dad to Tucker (Lakota), RheAnna (Eli), Nathaniel (Amanda), and BryLeigh. If you asked him what his greatest accomplishment was, it would never be anything he owned — it was always his family. Becoming “Pepaw” to Wesson and Sage added a whole new level of pride and joy to his life, and those babies had him wrapped completely around their tiny fingers, and he wasn’t embarrassed to show it.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tony, his mother, Dorothy, and his sister, Shannon — and we can only imagine the reunion happening now, probably involving hugs, laughter, and somebody arguing over the best fishing hole.
Tony is survived by his sisters Laura (Jabo) Morrison, Christy (Billy) Duncan, and Jamie Wells, along with 10 nieces and nephews he loved fiercely and 5 great-nieces and nephews who could always count on him for love, laughter, and probably a little harmless mischief.
Tony was a simple and selfless man. He loved God, his family, the outdoors, old country music, and his Toyotas. He was happiest fishing, hunting, sitting around a fire under the stars, or just spending time with the people he loved. He was quiet until he got to know you and never needed to be the center of attention. The people closest to him knew how caring and loving he truly was. He was always willing to help someone, never asked for much, and appreciated the simple things in life.
In true Tony fashion, his family asks that you remember him with smiles, stories and laughter — not with heavy hearts and sadness. He would much rather you tell a funny story about him than cry over him.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held on May 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM behind the Kenansville Schoolhouse, located at 1180 S. Canoe Creek Rd, Kenansville, Florida.
Bring your stories, your laughter, and your love as we celebrate a man who lived simply, loved deeply, and left behind enough memories to last several lifetimes.

Tony, the way you took me in as one of your own immediately is something I will never forget. Being your daughter in law was a blessing i’d never take for granted. You took care of Nate and I as if it was your only mission in life. We know your watching over us, and are with us everyday. We love you very much.
