Walt was Karen Fleischacker and my neighbor and my coworker at the CWLP power plant. We were in the Machinist union together for 15 years. Walt was from Germany and he was the go to guy on everything. Even the top people General Electric sent to the plant when turbines were overhauled went to Walt and Harley Henson (coworker) when they had a problem to solve. Walt was a true Machinist through and through. He and Harley were two people full of unbelievable knowledge of the plant equipment and they knew how to repair and make just about anything needed. Walter was a great guy and I sure am glad to have had the pleasure of knowing him, not to mention working and having more than a few beers with him. I for one will never forget Walter. He was a great guy and had the respect of everyone who knew him. A toast to Walt today in Las Vegas for sure. 🍺🍸🍷🍺🍺
