Wendy Ann Edmund

Born on October 3 1960 in Melbourne, Florida
Departed on July 16, 2025 in West Melbourne, Florida

Wendy Ann Edmund, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 64.

Born on October 3, 1960, in Melbourne, FL, Wendy lived her life with fierce independence, generosity, and a great sense of humor. A true tomboy at heart, she loved being outdoors—surfing, fishing, and helping out with cattle whenever she could. She had a lifelong love for black pickup trucks, a good taco, and a cold Pepsi.

Wendy was hands-on in every way. She enjoyed building and fixing things, cooking for the people she loved, and baking cookies—especially her favorite, oatmeal raisin. She had a way of showing up when it mattered most, whether that meant lending a helping hand, offering an honest opinion, or just being there with a kind word and a smile.

After high school, Wendy spent many years working at the family bar, Gerardies.
Tavern. She loved it there—tending the tap, laughing with customers, cheering on the local rugby, dart, and pool teams. She truly embodied the spirit of the place. Later, she worked at Mack Technology for 28 years, where she was known for her reliability and strong work ethic.

Wendy was deeply devoted to her family and community. She spent her entire life in Melbourne Beach and became a fixture in the lives of those around her. She was the kind of aunt who made you feel special, the kind of friend who always had your back, and the kind of person who left things better than she found them.

Wendy is survived by her brother Robert Edmund (Sheryl), sisters Ellen Nastase (Pete) and Robin Faircloth (Sonny), nephew Daniel Chick (Mary Rose), nieces Tiffany Jeffcoat (Josh) and Brianna Walker (Matt), and great-nieces and nephews Destiny Jeffcoat, Jewel Guerrina, Benjamin Crespo, Ava Walker, Eithan Walker, Liam Walker, Christian Faircloth and Blake Faircloth.

Her legacy lives on in the laughter she sparked, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely. As someone once said, “Legacy is not leaving something for people. It’s leaving something in people.”

A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held on August 9 at 12:00 p.m. at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Melbourne Beach Community Center, 509 Ocean Ave, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951.

Wendy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
