Our beloved Rosalee went to be with the Lord, Christmas Day, 2024, age 91. Born Mary Rosalee Tolley on April 15th, 1933 to Roy Virgil Tolley and Orpha Belle Tolley in Charleston, West Virginia, Rosalee was raised an only child in her family’s Christian home. By age 11 Rosalee was playing piano for her family’s church “Dunbar Mountain Mission” and continued to play there for 25 years until she moved to Florida as an adult with her family and her mother.
Rosalee also met Don Legg at Dunbar Mountain Mission and they began to notice each other while sharing their love for Jesus and using their talent in music and singing for His glory. True love ensued and they were married on August 14, 1954. Donnie came along in 1956 and Darrell in 1961.
Rosalee was passionate about serving Christ and exemplifying His love. She was dedicated to church service in music, fellowship and ladies ministries. She was well known for being a good cook, a talented musician, and also an avid fan of her favorite gospel group “The Gaither Vocal Band” even visiting them in concert and regularly enjoying their videos on youtube everyday. She was a good listener, and a good friend, compassionate, showing love for all, especially her family.

Rosalee and her family were our next door neighbors for many years. They were the best neighbors ever! In a short period of time, we became friends, and were soon cooking together and exchanging recipes. Us kids went to school together and played games in the street for hours on end. Rosalee and our Mother, Marie, had a lot in common…love of family, great cooks and their love of music. Years went by, and although we didn’t see each other often we always remembered Rosalee and her family. We will miss Rosalee and believe, “Those who live in our memories are truly never gone.” Our prayers for peace and comfort are with your family as you grieve her loss and celebrate her life.
Our Deepest Sympathy,

Rosalee was our Aunt and a blessing to our marriage of 55 years. She lit up a room with her smile ,& laughter. The Lord broke the mold when He made Rosalee, we will miss her but find comfort in the fact that she is now playing piano in Heaven. I agree anyone who knew her loved her.

Mrs Rosalee has gone to be with the Lord. As believers, we are comforted by 2 Corinthians 5:8 which tells us, "Absent from the body, is present with the Lord. " Rosalee made it in time to celebrate Jesus birthday with Him. Maybe she got to play the piano while everyone sang♥ Rosalee was a true Jesus follower, emulating Christs teachings in her life with love and understanding. She was silly and funny. A great cook. A talented musician. A great friend. A good wife and a dear mother to her boys. Anyone who knew Rosalee loved her and anyone Rosalee knew, she loved. She was in my life for 24 years. Always kind and loving to my girls and me. I would like to say Rosalee was special in my life, and most everyone who knew her can also say that too. We all lost our best friend that day.
