Janet Arlene Carey
July 24, 1943 – November 19, 2025

Janet Arlene Carey, 82, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida. She was born on July 24, 1943, in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, and lived a long, love-filled life grounded in family, faith, and humor.

Janet was the beloved wife of the late Donald Carey, whom she adored deeply. Their bond was one of true devotion, and she carried his memory with her always. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children — Sherry Vigliotti, Sonny Bates, and Candace Carey. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Dino, Alexander, and Victor Vigliotti, and Logan and Sydney Bates; and a cherished great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren: Alexander Vigliotti Jr., Giovanni Vigliotti, Madison Vigliotti, McKenzie Vigliotti, Leo Vigliotti, and Ava Vigliotti.

Janet had a warm, kind, and funny spirit that made her a joy to be around. She had a lifelong passion for her family and her pets, both of which brought her constant comfort and happiness. Known for her impeccable sense of style, Janet never left the house without doing her hair, makeup, and perfectly drawn eyebrows. She dressed with care and confidence, always looking her very best — an expression of the pride she took in herself and the life she lived.

A funeral service honoring Janet’s life will be held at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne on December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Her family will forever remember her love, humor, and elegance, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
