Lisa Marie Daniels Aslan, 71, of Hanahan, South Carolina, wife of the late James Elias Aslan entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Lisa was born August 27, 1954 in Rockville Centre, New York, daughter of the late Matthew Daniels, Jr. and the late Carolyn M. Joch Daniels. With a remarkable career that spanned over three decades, Lisa dedicated herself to the education of countless students, instilling in them a love for learning that would last a lifetime. Her passion for teaching was matched only by her deep commitment to nurturing the growth and development of each child she encountered. Lisa also enjoyed moments spent over coffee with friends and family, where laughter and stories filled the air, reflecting her warm and engaging spirit. As a devoted grandmother, Mimi took great pride in her grandchildren, cheering them on enthusiastically. In retirement, Lisa embraced her creative side with her love for sewing, often crafting beautiful pieces that brought joy to her family and friends. Her hobbies extended beyond the sewing machine; she found immense happiness, creating treasured memories with her grandchildren that they will carry with them forever

She is survived by children: James Scott Aslan (Katie) of St. Cloud, Florida, Jessica Ann Aslan Daily (Nicholas) of Hanahan, South Carolina and Timothy Joseph Aslan (Megan) of Melbourne, Florida; grandchildren: Emme, Brodie, Lanie, Tryston, Stephen, Elijah and Mathias; siblings: Loren Daniels (Susan) of Teaneck, New Jersey, Jill LeClaire (Kenneth) of Hauppauge, New York, and Terresa Daniels (Jeannine) of Toms River, New Jersey; step-mother, Katherine Daniels of Beverly Hills, Florida and many loved nieces, nephews, step-brothers, and step-sisters. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Stefan Daniels.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, Charleston, South Carolina at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Her calling hours in Florida will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne from 5 pm until 7 pm and on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at First Baptist Melbourne, 3301 Dairy Road Melbourne, Florida 32904 from 9 am until time of her service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. Family and friends should arrive at 12:15 pm and park in lane “C”.
