Gail Lynch (85) passed away suddenly on April 15th, in her Melbourne Beach, FL home, with her husband of 65 years by her side.
Gail, born in Schenectady, NY on April 6, 1938, was the daughter of John and Kathleen Cain. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1957 and worked for Schenectady Trust as a bank teller before marrying her husband, John.
Gail was a beautiful woman who greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word. She had an infectious laugh and loved to be among family and friends. After raising a family of four children, Gail returned to the workforce as a banker, working her way up to the Trust Division of Trustco Bank where she continued to work until she retired in 1993.
Gail was an inspiration to her children and a positive force who sought and cultivated the best in each of them. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very deeply. Gail and John were devoted to each other and spent nearly every day of their marriage together. Once they retired, they divided their time between Schenectady, New York and Melbourne Beach, Florida.
Gail is predeceased by her brother, John (Barbara) Cain. Survivors include, her husband John, brother Terrance (Joan) Cain, four children: John (Alice) Lynch, Thomas (Loriann) Lynch, James (Deborah) Lynch and Kathleen (David) Sanders, nine grandchildren: Craig (Justine) Lynch, Colin Lynch, Alexandra (Bradley) Neumann, Shannon (Justin) Lynch, Keith Lynch, Suzanna (Joshua) Chappell, Ryan Lynch, John Sanders and Kelly Sanders and four great grandchildren: Jackson Lynch, Carter Lynch, Palmer Neumann, and Lucy Lynch.
A mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach, FL on Friday April 21 at 10am. A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to City Mission of Schenectady, 425 Hamilton St., Schenectady, NY 12305.

You will be in my prayers u know God will be with you through this time. Uncle Jack you two had a wonderful life together. You have a good family heart feels for your lose. You will always have her in your heart she took the live with her for her family. May God give you peace to your family through these times. I pray god will heal your pain hurt give you peace for time to grieve. You always been in my prayers and always will. I am so sorry for your lose. God see your tears he is right there with you. All of us will be together again. Gail was a wonderful loving person. God will heal you but you have all the memories with you in your heart. She will be miss for sure. Jack and family, We are so sorry to hear about Gail. She was a beautiful terrific lady, always ready to visit and always greeting with a smile..We will keep all of you in our prayers.
Gail worked for me way back in the 70s helping me with my School photo business ,this news is so sad and not expected. we are also good friends on Facebook. My condolences to Jack and family Don McQuay.

Sorry for you loss. Gail and I were "pool friends" at the Guilderland YMCA. She continued to send me bits and pieces by email after she moved to Florida. Shall miss those notes.
I'm heartbroken & sad for the Lynch family. I've known Gail my whole life. She truly was one of the Kindest, Sweetest lovely ladies I've ever met. I'm so glad we got to see her only a couple years ago. I honestly feel like a lost a family member.

Gail and I have been lifelong friends. I was her Maid of Honor and she was mine. I cannot express in words what she meant to me. She was a beautiful person, a wonderful mother and friend. My sincere condolences to Jack and her family. I am truly devastated. You are in my heart Gail.
