Anita Arbic Bunton, age 73 of Melbourne, FL, a devout Catholic, went to our Lord on April 27, 2021. Anita was born in Gainesville, Florida. She was a loving mother, homemaker and as a devout Catholic, she loved to spend time in prayer. She watched EWTN, religiously and her favorite TV show “Dr. Pol” 🤣. Bless her heart! She arranged many trips to Conyers, GA, to be present for the Blessed Mother gatherings. She also had a passion for protecting and saving the animals and created the Phoenix Foundation for Animals in November 1986.

In her early years, she attended Melbourne High School and graduated in 1965. She was a part of the marching band and was first chair flute. Her life-long friend, Regina, shared many laughs and experiences in school and after. They would joke they both married a Bob. Anita received her Associate of Arts from Brevard Community College, Melbourne, FL. (BCC)

Anita loved to garden, play classical music which she played in the evening for her girls, singing, sewing, canning and taking the girls to 4-H.

She was preceded in death by her mother Maria Hafkenscheid Arbic, father Richard G. Arbic, and a sister, Cynthia Maria Arbic. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Robert A. Bunton and her three siblings, Lillian A. McCue, Vivian A. Wynkoop, and Paul R. Arbic. In addition, three children and one amazing friend/sister/daughter*, Alicia A. Mann (husband Larry), Brenda Boren Corliss*, Crissy Bendix (husband Lee), Deidra M. Coleman (husband Rob), four grandchildren, Natalie, Colton, Olivia, and Leonah.

Services will be held May 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at the Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N. Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne, FL. There will not be a reception after due to COVID.
