It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara (Dykeman) Richard 97, she was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Barbara lived in Tewksbury, Massachusetts for many years before moving to Port Isabel, Texas and at the time of her passing she resided in Melbourne, Florida. She passed peacefully in her sleep on April 4, 2025

Barbara is survived by her loving family, including her sister June Maxwell; daughter Denise Laliberte and her husband Eugene; her son Ernie Dykeman and his wife Kathy; and son Bruce Dykeman. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Eileen Whitten, her brothers Ronald and Herbert Larkin; her first husband Charles Dykeman; her second husband John Richard; her sons Robert and Paul Dykeman; her daughter Donna Nobrega; her grandson Wayne Dykeman; and granddaughter Jenelle (Dykeman) Lapinski.

Born on October 13, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts, Barbara had a long and eventful life. She raised and supported her children and family with much love and support. She was known for her kindness and gentle nature. She loved traveling, quilting, crafting and spending time relaxing on the beach with family and friends.

Barbara’s kindness, passion, and unwavering love for her friends and family will always be remembered. She will be greatly missed.
