Barbara “Jane” Kilps, 74, of Melbourne Village, FL died peacefully at home on February 23, 2021. Jane was born to Melvin George Basilius and Pauline Radabaugh Basilius on November 4th, 1946 in Findlay, Ohio. She moved to Ft. Wayne, Indiana to study nursing at the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. It was there she met and married Grant Arthur Kilps. Theirs was a long and happy marriage which produced two loving daughters Jennifer Kilps and Amanda Peters. When not working as an Emergency Room RN, Jane could be found cooking, singing Broadway tunes at her piano, beachcombing, reading crime novels and generally being eccentric and funny. Her later years brought her greatest joys in the persons of her granddaughters Grace and Iona. Jane is survived by her sister Louisa Sue; her daughters, Jennifer and Amanda; their spouses David and Ted; and granddaughters, Grace and Iona. She will be constantly missed. No service is planned at this time.
