Jessie Marie (Bailey) Roberts, age 85 of Melbourne, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was a graduate of Karns High School in Knox County,Tennessee. Jessie moved to Cleveland, Ohio upon graduation where she met and married Tom Roberts. They subsequently moved to Harrisonburg, and Powhattan, Virginia before settling in Melbourne in 1968. One wonderful byproduct of being employed by Florida Power & Light until her retirement, was working with a stellar group of folks that would become lifelong, steadfast, friends.
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Bailey; sister Freida Jo Miller; brother Johnny Bailey and Tom Roberts. She is survived by her daughters Amy and husband Joe Gerlach and Beth Roberts; grandchildren Katie and husband PJ Darling, Maggie Gerlach and husband Jason Niemann, Lauren Gerlach and Emily Roberts; great-grandchildren Cameryn Darling, Collin Darling and Carter Darling.
There will be no services as requested, interment will be at a later date in Madisonville, Tennessee. GO VOLS!
Jessie enjoyed gardening, watching her hummingbirds, and a good game of pinochle or dominoes, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her fabulous friends and relatives.
