Linda Ann Meyer

Born October 30, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri
Departed January 10, 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida

Linda Ann Meyer, 65, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away, January 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. Linda was born in St Louis, Missouri, but then moved to Florida, just a year later with her family. She is the eldest of four siblings (all brothers), a mother of two boys and a grandmother of three beautiful girls.

Linda grew up in Melbourne and was a 1976 graduate of Melbourne High School (Go Bulldogs!). She attended East Tennessee State University, where she obtained two Bachelor’s Degrees, in Human Resource / Organization and General Studies. She then Graduated from Nursing School from Eastern Florida State College.

From there, her love and passion for Nursing took off like a rocket! Throughout her years in Nursing, she worked in a multitude of specialities. She worked with children, oncology patients, hospice care, nursing management, emergency services, home health care, med surge care, but her favorite was when she became a traveling nurse.

She met so many different people and got to experience many different cultures of nursing…she even did a mission trip to Mexico.

Once she had joined the church, her love for God and her passion to serve the Lord, became one of her deepest loves. She obtained her Doctorate in Divinity and became a Minister. She loved going to church, she loved helping others. She would give you the very shirt from her back and the last dime she had.

She has a passion for dancing, singing and loved going to the beach. She enjoyed crafting, baking, cooking and traveling. What she had a love for the most, was her family. She loved her children more than life itself, she loved her brothers, family and friends, unconditionally, and would always try to get together whenever it was possible.

Linda is survived by her two sons: Antonio Amedio of Rhode Island, Elijah Amedio (Tiffany) of Columbia, Missouri; Her three brothers: Michael Meyer of Melbourne, Florida; Matthew Meyer (Leslie) of Grant, Florida, and Mark Meyer (Kathie) of Palm Bay, Florida. Three granddaughters: Alexis Kiana Amedio-Carrion, Sevati Rose Amedio and Kora Jean Amedio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald “Buzz” Meyer and her Mother, Judith (Endres) Meyer, both of Melbourne, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to go to the gofundme account that has been created to aid with any additional resources needed during this difficult time.

Linda was truly a caregiver! She always took care of everyone she met. She was the best neighbor I have ever had. She had a tough year, but it made her happy to put the needs of others ahead of her own. I only just met her sons, but she always talked about them and their families!!!! She was so proud of them! It was an honor to be her friend. And I will miss her. I'm sorry for her family's loss. They have been in our prayers.

It was a pleasure to meet Linda and have her as a next door neighbor. She loved to cook and would bring deserts over, particularly her pineapple upside down cake! We will surely miss her and our conversations together. What a beautiful person she was and she will be greatly missed. Our prayers and thoughts are for her family and friends.
