George J. Koller

George J. Koller passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 101 in Melbourne, Florida.

George was born the youngest of six children on July 3, 1922 to William and Bertha Koller. He lived in Highland Park, Illinois until the onset of WWII. As part of the Army infantry, George saw action in the South Pacific campaign on the Mariana Islands of Saipan and Tinian.

After the war, George married Doris Brand from Three Lakes, Wisconsin. He pursued a life long career in the pharmaceutical industry and retired in 1974, moving to his wife’s hometown of Three Lakes.

George is survived by his son of the same name, a resident of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and a daughter, Kathleen Whitcomb, residing in Melbourne, Florida. Share memories: brownliemaxwell.com

I take particular solace in the thought that you are coming home to be together again with your bride, Doris Brand, after 34 years. Four generations of the Brand Family, David Koller, some friends and neighbors will be there to welcome you home this summer. Rest in peace, husband, father, and old soldier.
