David Stoddard Johnson, age 75, born in Worcester, Massachusetts has passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
David owned and operated David’s Water Treatment Systems serving Melbourne, Palm Bay, Sebastian and Vero Beach, Fl. for 34 years. He had a stellar reputation of serving his customers with excellence with his problem solving skills and integrity. He sold his business in 2024, but continued to serve his customers while training the new owner for 18 months.
David was unique in that he also had a Doctorate in Psychology and was a Certified Addictions Specialist, working with different agencies for the past 28 years, including Volunteers of America, as a Clinical Program Director for 5 years, where they housed Veterans and assisted them in many areas of their lives. Most recently, this year, 2026, he went to work for Evolving Hope Counseling as a Biblical licensed mental health therapist.
David was active in his church, Zion Christian Church fir 13 years playing Saxaphone and piano and then started attending Calvary Chapel Melbourne where he played Saxaphone and keyboard with their Prison Ministry Band that traveled throughout Florida to the different prisons. He was then trained in Calvary’s first School of Ministry and served on the worship team for the past 20 years. This year, 2026, he became a State of Florida Education Provider. He had the plan to train up Peer Recovery Specialist to help those struggling with addictions.
David will be lovingly remembered as a generous and kind hearted husband, father, brother and friend! His greatest attribute was his faith and trust in Jesus
Christ with a deep desire to fulfill God’s purpose and plan for his life!
We believe he will hear “Well done, good and faithful servant” and is now reaping the benefits and rewards for his faith.
A Celebration of Life service was held on August 20, 2026, at Calvary Chapel Melbourne and his body laid to rest in the Chapel of Peace at Florida Memorial Park in Rockledge, Florida.
He was pre-deceased by his father, George Johnson, his mother, Catherine
Johnson, and sister, Judy Valicenti.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, his son, Daniel, and his siblings, Nancy Brownlow, Richard (Jane) Johnson and Cathy (Jack) Prenner.
