Born December 4, 1959 in Houston, TX.
Passed away September 2, 2026 in Viera, Florida
Kevin Wayne Smith passed away on September 2, 2026 surrounded by the love and thoughts of his family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Gary James Smith, and was welcomed into heaven by his father, his grandparents, and the aunts, uncles, and cousins who went before him.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Smith, brother, Mark Smith (Diane), sister, Sherry Rua (Fernando), and sister, Trish Clow (Brad) as well as nephews Chris & Matt Clow, Aaron White, and niece, Tracey O’Shea. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him and remembered always by his large, extended family.
Kevin was a lover of all things botanical. He had a natural appreciation for plants, landscaping, and the outdoors and spent many years turning that interest into his livelihood as the owner of a lawn & landscaping service. Whether working with plants, caring for a landscape, or simply appreciating something growing and green, it was a part of who Kevin was.
Kevin lived life on his own terms. Those who knew him will remember his individuality, his love of plants and the outdoors, his willingness to lend a hand to a friend in need, and the many stories, laughter, memories gathered over the years.
May he now be at peace, healthy, and whole as he is reunited with his father and the family who were waiting to welcome him home.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.

Keven was a neighbor and a youngster grew up playing with my children. However, as an adult, he and I became close friends, sharing our mutual interest in gardening and landscapin.
I enjoy his friendship and knowing him as a privilege as he was a very kind and generous person with a great sense of humor! He was such a loving son to his mother right up until the very last end. I have been missing him very much. Every time I come into our neighborhood, I look over toward his house, expecting to see him and realize he won’t be there, which makes me very sad.
Kevin? was very brave as he cooked with his illness and we sometimes shared our health issues and comforted each other, often with humor.
I’m sure that God has received him with love and that he will be at peace, without pain, and with his loved ones who have gone before him.
My heartfelt prayers are with his family at this time and especially with Betty Smith his wonderful mother❣️🙏
I will forever remember my cousin and memories from when I was young. I wish you could have met my family but I know you can see them now. We love you Kevin. ❤️

Kevin had a soft spot in my heart. He was kind and sweet (and even defended me on Facebook! 😊). Aunt Betty and his sisters and brother are very much on my heart and in my prayers. Love you all.
Kevin was my lawn guy and dear friend for many years!
We would sit out on my porch ant the end of his work day and have a Bloody Mary and great conversations.!
He was king and caring and made me laugh, even on my worse days😊❤️
He will be missed by many.
Rest in Peace my dear friend🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
