George Henry Smodell, 92, died Friday March 13, 2020. He was a Deacon at St. Sebastian By The Sea Episcopal Church. George Came to Brevard county in 1972 from Fort Lauderdale, FL and is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Margaret Sabatino, sons Gary, Bruce (Nancy) and James (Esti), 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son George, Jr. and daughter Mary Ellen.
Anyone planning expressions of sympathy is asked to consider donations to St. Sebastian By The Sea Episcopal Church.
Memorial Services will be planned for a later date.

I will miss my grandpa very much
George and Donna were friends of my parents, Cal & Betty Clippinger at St. Sebastian's. When Dad died, George was such good support for my mom. He became a family friend. And then, when she developed Alzheimers , he visited her regularly and was a spiritual and support for me and my siblings.
He was a wonderful and funny man.
We send our loving condolences to Donna and family.

We loved George very much and he will be missed greatly, but left us with such a great example to follow!
