Mary Sue Ellis, 99, of Melbourne, Florida passed on July 3, 2023 at home. She was born on July 1, 1924 in Alachua, Florida to Carl Alexander and Daisy Edwards Doke.

Her family includes her son Byron Ellis; daughters Martha Sue Cochran and Karen Rhodes; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister Claire Ellington and brother Kent Doke. She was predeceased by her husband Chester Ellis; sisters Hazel McLean, Sybil Shipp, Nell Dukes and Joyce Riherd.

Calling hours will be on Friday, July 7 from 12:30 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of South Brevard, 4300 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida 32935. Burial will be in Ft. White Cemetery, Ft. White, Florida.
