Alex Delano Sawyer

Born November 5, 1933 in Elfers, Florida
Departed August 7, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida

A generous man of great integrity and character who loved Jesus with all his heart, soul, and mind. Preceded in Death and rejoicing with him in Heaven are his mother Alma Sawyer, Father Walter Sawyer, and Brothers Henry, Richard and Grady Sawyer. 
Alex was a US Air Force veteran and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a die-hard Florida Gators Fan. He worked for Harris Corporation in Palm Bay Florida for over 40 years in the Aerospace Division as an Electrical Engineer. His love for his family was unsurpassed and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include:
Son – Kenneth Sawyer (Darlia)
Daughter – Terry Anderson
Sister-in-law – Peggy Sawyer
Granddaughters: Amanda Sawyer, Sadie Smith (Dustin), Savannah McCallister, Shelbie Underwood (Nathan)
Grandsons: Alex Sawyer, James Abernathy, Nicolas Hill, Cody Hill (Bailey), Jamie Sawyer
3 Great-Grandsons and 6 Great-Granddaughters

This man was a very much of a man. He loved Jesus with all of his heart! I’m his grandson and I really miss him so much! He’s in heaven where I’ll see him again. Til meet again Pops, I love you and I miss you! Until we meet again I’ll be doing ok. I love you very much. I’m very proud of you and I can’t wait to see you again! I miss you Pop. I love you more.
