Amy Chang Goude, 83, of Satellite Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023 with family by her side. She was born November 1, 1939 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Amy is preceded in death by her husband, Loren “Larry” J. Goude, Sr.; her mother Ye Chen, her father Tian Xi Zhang; a sister Chwei-Ju Chang Chou; her stepson Loren J. Goude, Jr.; and a granddaughter Rachel Goude.

She is survived by her adopted children Melissa Goude of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Eddie Goude of Orlando, Florida; her stepdaughter Sally (Rusty) Mitchem of Huntsville, Alabama; her daughter-in-law Starr Goude of Lynn Haven, Florida; grandchildren Brandy Goude of Lynn Haven, Florida, Christopher (Mallory) Mitchem of Athens, Alabama, Jaimee (Tanner) McBee of Panama City, Florida, Jeremy Mitchem of Huntsville, Alabama and James (Laura) Goude III of Wetumpka, Alabama; great-grandchildren Dylan Motley of Auburn, Alabama, Tannor Mitchem of Huntsville, Alabama, Reese and John Davis McBee of Panama City, Florida, Carter, Reed, and Sawyer Kate Mitchem of Athens, Alabama and Walker Goude of Wetumpka, Alabama; three brothers Kuo-Jong Chang, Kuo-Chern Chang, and Kuo-Chen (Wu Chin-Tsun) Chang all of Taiwan; a special nephew and niece Alan and Mimi Chou of Melbourne; and a host of nieces and nephews in Taiwan.

Because Amy’s husband Loren was enlisted in the United States Air Force for 28 years, she was stationed with him in the Philippines, Okinawa and Japan among other stateside locations. She enjoyed playing blackjack, was an excellent bowler in her younger years, and was a true animal lover.

A memorial service will be held for Amy on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:30 am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery where she will be inurned with her husband Loren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Brevard County. In addition to the wonderful support provided by the Meals on Wheels program, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the tender care provided to Amy this year by Health First Home Care, especially her nurse Christina, and in her last days by the staff at Vitas Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit.
